Care For Your Candle
Discover Candles
Regardless of wick type; crackling wooden wick or cotton wick, your wick should be trimmed to 1/4 of an inch before each use.
The first lighting of a candle should be lit for a minimum of two hours. Afterwards candles can be enjoyed for up to five hours at a time.
Because the Graceful Garden Collection candles are made of coconut and soy wax, you should experience less soot. Virgin Coconut/soy wax naturally burns cleaner. However, when you light a candle, the heat melts the wax through the wick which fuels the flame. If all is in balance, you will have a perfect teardrop flame. If your candles is not balanced you will experience incomplete combustion. This happens when wax is drawn into the flame faster than intended to burn. The excess wax is released as soot. Soot is the form of black smoke that settles along the sides of the jar from your candle not burning evenly.
All of The Graceful Garden Candle Collection jars can be repurposed. If there is soot on your jar, please clean your jar with soap and water; rubbing alcohol can be used to remove soot and wax safely.

A wood wick candle is a type of candle that features a wick made of wood instead of traditional cotton. The wood wick is typically made from a natural, untreated wood such as cherry, maple, or birch, and when lit, produces a distinctive crackling sound similar to that of a fireplace.
Wood wick candles are a popular choice for decoration due to their unique aesthetics and ability to create a cozy and rustic ambiance. They are available in a variety of scents, colors, and shapes, making it easy to find one that complements any decor style.
At our company, we make wood wick candles with up to three wicks in each candle, which creates an even larger flame and enhances the sound of the crackling wood. This makes our candles a great option for those seeking a bold and impactful decoration piece.
While wood wick candles require more attention than traditional cotton wick candles and may require trimming of the wick to prevent excessive smoke or soot, they remain a popular choice for those seeking a unique and memorable way to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in their home or workspace.
